Yes because it's only patio and drive up.
Well ive always had good burgers there noncomplaints however the fries suck. They come out sweet couz of the fried skin and soft. I decided to stop eating here as the burger is just too pricey for its size and thats all I wanted. Unless the burger gets larger or price comes down I know other great burger places worth the money! 🍔👎
The burger was good don't get me wrong. They give you a bunch of fries too. However the price is outrageous. It cost me about 15 bucks for a burger meal.
Good and quick service. Great burgers.
Project-X delicious burger! Spicy and juicy! Good eats!
Good and greasy hamburgers just the way they should be, hot and ready made to order not sitting under a heat lamp. French fries are good as well, skins on with plenty of salt. You won’t be disappointed
This place is sooooo good! The burger that has the Tabasco inside the patty is amazing! Good fries, good shakes, covid-19 precautions in place
Always fresh and more than enough fries to share!
Always awesome food. I got the Chef salad today.
Charley's has amazing burgers and fantastic shakes. You also can't beat their fresh lemonade! I worked here right after graduating high school and management (including Charley himself!) treated all of the employees very well. I would recommend the avocado bacon burger and the peanut butter shake. :)
Best burger I have eaten in years
The best place for burgers in Fort Worth. Seriously. Go there. Right now!The best place for burgers in Fort Worth. Seriously. Go there. Right now!
Sorry Charley, but wish I had passed on by. Not sure why “old fashioned” frequently means tastes like something you got at your aunts house on a bad day but that’s definitely the case here. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t terrible... it just wasn’t good. At all. Burger was bland and undercooked in spite of 2 confirmations I wanted it well done. Patty tastes like months in the freezer. It was dead inside the restaurant and I understand why. Frys were hot, but not particularly good. The highlight was the sweet tea and the staff was friendly. Won’t be making another trip to Charley’s.
Classic Ft. Worth burger joint! Awesome burgers and fries, not to mention the onion rings!! Great classic burgers that are honestly better then the new fancy chains! A must try, we will for sure be back!
Excellent Old School fat burgers. Bun, condiments and vegees done to perfection. Little pricey so I give it 4 instead of 5.
This was a really good burger joint! Small little shack, if you will. definitly fresh grilled burgers, perfect buns, and a cool atmosphere. There was outdoor and indoor seating. They had a lot of original burgers. I got the avacado burger and it did not disappoint. The fries, in my opinion, is what made this place special. They were freshly cut and fried.
Was Great Burger. Onion rings on other hand. Were different story. No Batter on Rings so wasn't Really That Great. Not to sure what was going on there. Or even who was paying attention to what they were cooking.
Since 1992 grilling the best burger in DFW! A winner of DFW Burger Wars before - they continue to cook up flavor and satisfaction! The handmade onion rings are AMAZING!! Must have! Bling Blinky of Texas Shout Out: Worth the drive from anywhere in DFW area!! Not far from the Fort Worth Zoo!! Get to Charley’s and get a handful of Greatness!! I recommend the Mushroom Burger or Project-X if you can handle the heat!!
I had the opportunity to experience this place for my very first time and we’ll definitely be back! The food was tasty and it was overall such a fun experience. There is a play area alongside the building that was perfect for my toddler daughter and our friends’ children. Additional toys were brought out as soon as we arrived which kept the kids busy while we waited on our food (which was a very short wait).
I have bought bottled water that was less soggy. Bring a diving bell. Absolutely negative.
Well I had heard good things about this place but was very very disappointed. We got the German Burger and either the meat was bad or the sour kraut was. Fries were soggyy, the onion rings were so big that crumbled all in our lap and the price was way to high. Not at all satisfied.
This place was awesome! Food tastes great and the service was exceptional. The ladies here have a huge smile on their face to welcome you in. Definitely a must try!
I have come here a few times during my graduate school experience and have found this location tasty, quick and professional. I typically order the Project X burger which is spicy and full of flavor. I recommend Charley’s whole-heartedly!
Best burger on the South side of Cowtown. Be patient, everything is freshly made. I suggest the Bacon Cheeseburger with grilled jalapenos. My favorite. Fries are fresh cut and made per order. My wife loves the Onion rings. Enjoy!
These are hands down the best local burgers in town. Everything is made so fresh and never disappoints. I do have to admit, they give you a lot of fries to the point it might be too much. I feel guilty because I can never finish them. But regardless, this is absolutely a burger joint that everyone in Fort Worth should visit.
Some of the best burgers in town. Not fancy or expensive, but always delicious!
We love Charleys! Their burgers are great and their servings of fries are huge!
Mushrooms from a can, probably where they keep the customer service. The two people working in the back were great and attentive to customers needs but the lady taking your order doesn’t quite seem to be a “people person”. I thought it was just me until I heard her interacting with approx 10 other people placing orders. If you get the Mushroom Swiss, don’t expect fresh mushrooms as you might from a place this good. Of stars to be given, I give one star for the other employees (thank you and good job!) and another for my girlfriends burger that was great.
Really good, if I'm ever back in the area I will stop there, amazing burgers
Charleys is an old waffle house, has a better menu than waffle house. The pie was good. Its an older building and the seating wasn't comfortable. Food was served quickly and service was good.
Great burgers and tons of delicious seasoned fries come with the meal ,more than enough to fill you up for a decent price!
CHARLEY's. A work that should be synonymous with "5-Star Burger". If I could open a burger place, THIS is what I would want. A wonderful old time 1950s feel of a burger joint with 21st Century Creativity and Flavor. The burgers are fantastic, the tots, fries and rings are plentiful and delicious. Eat inside, outside, take it away for home, do whatever you want to do but do it at CHARLEY's, you know the 5-Star Burger joint in Fort Worth.
Great cozy atmosphere. Great home style burgers and fries. Few other items on the menu like corn dogs and hot dogs etc. Small indoor dining. But when its not busy, it's pretty comfortable. Small TV indoor too. I personally love the small mom and pops feel. Everything is good!!!
Classic old fashioned hamburgers. Not the junk you find everywhere, but true old fashioned flavor. A historic staple of Fort Worth and TCU.
The cook or preparer wasn't wearing gloves and a couple of times she wiped sweat from her forehead with her forearm. And that was before I was about to order in the long hot line. Well I didn't order anything and that was for sure my last time visiting charley's. Sad that this place has gone down hill like this.
Awesome delicious burgers. They are always worth the wait.
Ima long time family friend, Charley's never disappoints.
I wish there was a 4.5 star rating. Had them a few times, everything was good but the fries weren't crisp. The burgers were amazing. They do the patties in a way that makes them even better than most places
Excellent hamburgers! They're loaded with good stuff and easy to eat. You get a large serving with the home fries and the tater tots are fries to perfection. The homemade lemonade is perfectly tart and not too sweet.
Good food but it was busy and they seemed to skimp on the condiments. My wife's burger had "everything" on it which should have included mayo, mustard, pickles, lettuce, and tomato but when we got it, there was maybe a small patch of mayo and a shred of lettuce. They were busy and as far as a hamburger goes they're pretty good, but it wasn't the greatest of experiences and to be honest, they're kind of expensive.
Best avocado burger I've had in a very long time! It's not "fast" food, but MAN is it worth it! FYI the sides are family size. No need to order one for each person.
I've been eating at Charley's for over 20 years. Back it the day, I could eat a whole Great Burger & fries, now I split the burger & fries. Don't waste your time trying to decide what to eat, you came to eat a old fashioned burger. Get the Great Burger & fries. I say when you get a burger, you have to eat it right then. Wrapping it up to go, no. The hot meat will make everything soggy. Enjoy!
I go with my wife to this great spot a lot! This is the best place to eat. I go there frequently. The food is just great, the staff is courteous and the rates are good. I enjoy meeting in this spot over a rich supper.
AMAZING burgers best in fort worth. It was sooo good
Charlie's had always been one of my favorite places to eat but tonight was different. We arrived at 9:30pm ordered hamburgers, onion rings and milk shakes only to be told by a young lady that she has already cleaned the machine. These young teenagers are too much of a hurry to leave that customer customers aren't being satisfied. To end this post our onion rings were dumped in a bag closed which the hot steam caused the batter to fall of the onion, very disappointed. No napkins given or ketchup. The female teenager that brought us our food lacks customer service skills. Owners beware of your employees. Just saying.
By far the best burger and onion rings around! Great service and cute location
Great little hole in the wall, burger and fries made fresh. Had the mushroom swiss burger and would recommend it. Going to try the German burger next time as it sounded interesting.
Great Hamburger and fries!! You won't be disappointed. Greg Bird Realtor, eXp Realty
Ordered the Chili Burger and I couldn't remember tasting the chili(none).Fries were not cooked thoroughly.Burger was very small for $12.00....WILL NEVER GO BACK!!
Very delicious. Nice place and quick service
My son and I had a cozy one on one dinner. I will go again. The chocolate cake was amazing!
Although the location very small, the Great Burger is absolutely delicious. One of the best I've ever had. However, my only complaint is it's too expensive. A double meat burger, fries and a drink cost me over $15. If the combo were maybe $10, I'd be going a few times a month.
